A catch-all functionality that is activated for a certain email mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. In other words, if you disable an email address and someone still sends an email message to it, or to any miswritten address under the very same domain, you’ll get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be vital if you are running a company, for example. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited bulk emails, you can combine the catch-all feature with anti-spam filtering software so as to receive only authentic messages in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting
Creating a catch-all e-mailbox will be very easy if you have a Linux cloud hosting with our company. You can enable the feature through our advanced, yet user-friendly Email Manager, which is part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer the hosting account itself. You will find all the mailboxes that you have set up shown alphabetically and on the right side of each one of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly tell you whether a certain mailbox receives all the emails associated with a given domain name or not. With one single click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this option at any time. In case there’s active email forwarding or in case another mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a given domain, you will receive a warning message from our system. The latter will not disable/replace anything automatically or without your consent.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
You will be able to set up a catch-all address with no more than one click in case you have a semi-dedicated service with our company and your emails are handled by our cloud platform. All the email addresses that you set up using any domain name hosted in the account will be enumerated in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Each of them will have a small-size "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate this feature will be to click on that icon. In the same manner you’ll be able to deactivate the feature, if you don’t need it any longer. Our system will warn you if you’re trying to activate a second catch-all address for a given domain or in case there is enabled email forwarding, but it’ll never deactivate or change anything automatically or without your permission.
